    1. A great combination of pictures chosen from each race.

    2. BTW, Why didn’t Mercedes and Williams receive any fine for their drivers failing to bring the cars to the pit lane parc ferme after the last race? Red Bull did receive a financial penalty when Seb did the same thing (left the car on the start/finish straight even though it’s supposed to be driven to the pit lane following a race) in India 2013. Neither Hamilton, Bottas nor Massa was doing it (performing donuts on the S/F straight) to celebrate a title win following the Abu Dhabi GP. Vettel, on the other hand, did it for that specific reason (a title-win celebration) following the 2013 edition of the Indian GP (same with Rosberg following his title-winning race). I’ve been wondering this inconsistency at times.

      1. @jerejj – weren’t the “donuts rule” brought about only after 2013 that permitted winners to perform donuts, which is why Vettel was originally penalized?

In the case of this year’s Abu Dhabi GP, I think that as the last race of the year, and given its processionary nature, Charlie & the stewards took it easy, in the reasonable certainty that there was probably nothing that was championship-alteringly significant. Either that, or the race put them to sleep (in which case the guy waving the chequered flag deserves a medal for staying awake).

As an ardent follower of F1, you already know that F1’s rules are not black and white. They’re grey (and if rumour were to have it, also rosso corsa) :-)

        1. @phylyp ”weren’t the “donuts rule” brought about only after 2013 that permitted winners to perform donuts, which is why Vettel was originally penalized?”
          – Yes, performing donuts on the cool down lap was permitted at that time as long as it doesn’t endanger other drivers, and as long as the cars are brought back to the pit lane (the latter is what the Mercedes-drivers and Massa didn’t do).

    3. This season was so good to watch. I really loved the number of three-wide overtakes, mostly involving Ocon, Alonso and Hulkenberg. Plus, the cars looked magnificent, and with two four time world champions, a hell of a lot of talented young drivers and sparks(!), I feel F1 could be onto great things!

    4. The fact that three out of the four “best action” photos from Abu Dhabi were taken after the race, and the other photo shows a broken-down car, just demonstrates what a tediously dull race it was.

    5. wonderful collection, 4k or higher and 10bit would make this perfect!
