Is that gravel on the outside of Parabolica new for this year? I know they were planning to do it as part of the layout changes but these were postponed. Have they gone ahead with this one already?
Or it could be that it was there last year and I have just forgotten!

I don’t see any changes. Back in the day, that gravel trap was just next to the green turf. Now you have a Walmart parking lot in between them.

Yes you’re correct. I just looked back at the 2016 build-up pictures. The corner looks the same.

Pretty sure I wouldn’t want to be Vettel stuck in between Ocon and Perez at the moment.

Seeing “European Aviation” logos on an f1 car (sort of) again reminds me that there is a decaying BAC One Eleven fuselage at Cardiff Airport which is decked out in “European Minardi F1 team” colours. I think it is used to train the airport’s fire crews now. Pic in the link below if you are interested…
