Susie Wolff, Williams, Hockenheimring, 2014Susie Wolff’s run in first practice was more successful than in Silverstone – but she did manage to pick up two fines for speeding.

Here are the Twitter highlights from a scorching hot day at the Hockenheimring.

First practice

Just like in Silverstone, things started off badly for Wolff. But the car issue was fixed quickly this time.

The ban on Front Rear Inter-Connected suspension was a big talking point.

    1. So the cynical view that RBR pitching the “this may not be legal anymore” was a way of gaining by virtue of “it’ll hurt them more than us” looks to be correct.

      Sad that this sort of political manoevering is still more important in F1 than skill.
