  1. Is the prediction deadline correct Keith, if so it takes us right round to 3PM tomorrow

    1. The deadline time is the start of qualifying which should be 1pm BST.

      1. Didn’t it use to be just before practice 3?

        1. Yes, but it was changed a few races ago.

  2. Well, just to be different, I’ve gone for a Red Bull 1-2, that’ll show those people saying that Red Bull are gonna get slowed down.. :P

    1. I went McLaren 1-2. I’m hopeful.

      1. So did I, i just shot myself in the foot…

  3. i think we should be able to see everyone’s predictions for this race after we press ‘add prediction’. I want to compare my guess with others.

    1. after we press ‘add prediction’.

      No, rather after the qualifying.

  4. Right. Going on my current form in predicting winners etc, I think I’ve probably just stuffed Alonso’s chances on Sunday. Having predicted him for the win, he’ll probably crash out or just get bored with the whole business and pull off for a cuppa, leaving Massa (who I haven’t selected in the top 5) to waltz off with the win.
On the other hand, I might just get a point or two, stranger things have happened . . .

McLaren 1-2. Vettel DNF. No logic to this, just desperate to have the season last beyond August.

    1. I’ve been waiting for this result all season! Fingers crossed.

    2. I wondered where Mansell’s mustache had run off to, does he control you remotely or are you a fully sentient facial adornment?

Hmm. Always believed it was the later, but just lately I’m not so sure. Weird things do happen sometimes.

    3. 1.ALO

      not gonna happen of course…

      1. I’d like to see VET – DNF for the next six races.

        1. He’s gonna have to DNF a few times to make this close again! :-(

          Come on Lewis! :-)

    4. boy o boy do i aggrea with that prediction iv got vettel down for pole but not in any finnishing position, hope lewis wins,he neads it.

No No No Keith, the Question should be ‘WILL Red Bull Finally be stopped’ This Provides McLaren and Ferrari another great opportunity of snatching pole even by the tiniest of margins

I voted for Vettel on pole and win, I think that even when the RB looks like under performance at the end of the races, they always manage to be first. As people said about the last race, Vettel cracked under Button’s attack. But that’s something unlikely to happen over and over. The only way I can think of a Vet DNF is if Hamilton crashes him. I’d like to see a more moderated Hamilton this race, attacking but reasonably taming his car and impulse. Let’s admit races are more fun when he drives all laps

    1. Where did all this “Vettel cracked under pressure” nonsense come from? He hit a wet patch which made the car slide. No big deal. People are going to play on that so much now.

He couldn’t see Jenson in his mirrors anyway whereas they were full of Lewis in Catalunya but did he crack then? No.

Just 1 mistake after being perfect for the last 10 races. That’s pretty good going.

Vettel is going to show the finger again.

  9. It’s really stupid Vettel show the finger!!What a Snob!!that’s why he doesnt deserved as World Champion and I dont respect and think of him as F1 Champ. He just lucky to drive Adrian Newey’s RB7. I want to see Alonso to win this weekend and Vettel DNF !!

    1. Yes! Alonso deserves to win because he lets his team mates move out of the way for him, or crash to let him win. THAT is a true champion.

    2. So the only reason he’s not a worthy champion is his finger?

  10. 1.Hamilton 2.Button 3.Vettel 4.Alonso 5.Schumacher.

  11. I’ll keep my prediction a secret for now, but I got a good feeling.

  12. 1) Schumacher
    2) DFN
    3) DFN
    4) DFN
    5) DFN

Pole time: 20 second lap around Valencia by Schumacher while driving on slicks in Brazil 2003 esque conditions :)

    1. For anybody who thinks I am joking, you’re wrong, I’m dead serious! 8)

  13. Can anyone stop Red Bull?

The first name that popped in to my mind was maybe Charlie Whiting, but I doubt it.

How can I go against Vettel and RB without completely defying logical thought? Somehow I’ll find a way. ;)

  14. My predictions are that a new team will top the charts -may be Force India upsetting the chartwheel -they are good as a unit and speed is now fuming inside of that 2.4 liter engine

    1. The problem is you need about 30 strong men to push the Force India round a corner.

  15. Does anyone remember what Alonso used to do with his fingers at the end of another race he had won? (this was before Hamilton turned up on the scene, so maybe not too many)? Oh the irony!

  16. Vettel pole for sure but alonso for the win..Canada would have really fired both of these guys..
unless Hamilton decides to take out one of them or may be both..

    1. I predicted the same.

I will be very surprised if Red Bull is beaten for poll. I picked Vettel, but Webber could also be quick enough if his KERS is working.

For the Race, I think the new rule will hurt RB over the full distance. And Ferrari has done some great work in improving their cars over the last few races. I do think Alonso has a pretty good chance to win if he stays out of trouble (and Ferrari doesn’t screw up tire strategy).

  17. I got pole right, not hard though! Gone rather conservative this time to try and make some ground up :/
