    1. I’m continuing my form from last year with a whopping 5 points…

      1. You better watch out, I’m only two points behind you and gaining fast!

      2. I’m exactly one position ahead of you Dan – and that’s only due to the table being arranged in alphabetical order! What did you predict?

      3. Yeah, I am closing in on you as well. Those 3 point I have are a good step towards improving next round.

    2. Tied 115th….bad start for me.

      Congrats to the Prize winners!!

    3. 7pts, not the best of starts.
I just hope that my regularity will pay this year like it did last year…

    4. I have 6 points. Will need the Kers button or the DRS to help me overtake a few

      1. very good

      2. lol…..

    5. WOWW, 9 points, i´m so happyyyyyyyy

    6. COOOOL! A better start than I predicted, i’m in the top 10% :D Well done to the top three…don’t get too excited though ;)

    7. 5 points puts me in a huge tie for 720th. time to put on the hard tires and bang out the miles.

      1. Same here. Darn Petrov *shakes fist*

    8. Joint 363rd with about 100 people!! Shocking.

    9. 9 points! Not bad at all considering it’s me!

Slightly disappointed that the points system hasn’t worked in my favour. I got the Pole as well as 4 out of 5 in the wrong order in the top 5!

      1. Exactly the same thing here, Ben!
And it’s the same story for most of the other 246 guys who scored 9 points besides us.
(There are only two ways of scoring 9 points, the first is the one we did, the other one is: 3 correct drivers + 2 correct positions w/o the pole.)

The leaders scored only 31 points. I say “only” because from what I can remember it was worse in previous seasons, when there would be plenty of higher scores.

And LOL at the four guys who scored nothing. Come on. I mean seriously – COME ON!

Excellent. I’m continuing my good form with 7 points. Now I just need to remember to enter every race weekend.

A shame we had four guys not qualify.

Keith, I’m interested in rule 7. Can we submit suggestions?

I have plenty that can be silly and fun for all us losers (aka spectators). It would require webcams and means to record the contests.

    11. 5 points for me! Not good :\ lol

    12. Yay, joint 4th place to start the year :D

    13. Bleh 7 points, I’m not even the top George!

    14. 7points is a good start for me

    15. 1018th! Not bad, hein!?

Keith, you should put a box to write the name and it would show us our ranking and points, with the complete rankings below, instead of having to lose 2 or 3 minutes looking for my name.

Just hit ctrl F on your keyboard then your browser will search for whatever you type in the box on the current page

        1. Thank you. That’s such a good tip, nice one. Now all I have to do is remember it.

        2. Haha! How long have you been doing it that way for, Joao? :P

      2. Next time just start searching from the bottom, then, hehe…

        1. Ohhhh harsh…

    16. im looking on the bright side, things can only get better! i knew i shouldn’t have picked a username starring with w.

my prediction involving red bull/hamilton/alonso 1st corner carnage and safety cars didn’t quite happen. neither did i predict the mercs would be slow and be crashed into and retire.

      1. I feel for you on the username thing. xD

Hum, 5 points, I guess that’s what I get for being a Webber fan.

Proves what I know 3pts lol, must try and kick this dirty mclaren habit I have

    18. My first time here and started with 7pts. Not a good start, but better than nothing i guess!

    19. Hmm, only 3 points. Well, that’s 3 more points than Kubica can hope to get this season lol.

    20. Tied in 115th place. I guess that’s not bad for my first prediction I’ve entered.

    21. joint 720th so far :)

    22. Guilherme (@the_philosopher)
      29th March 2011, 22:31

I thought that the list would this display the name shown on the forum/comments, not the login name xD I was a bit surprised when I couldn’t find “Guilherme” on the list… it took me a while to figure out I should search the the login name =P

Anyway, seven points, not as a good start as last year where I scored 11, but if I keep up the consistency I can best my last year ranking (26th) – I’ll be really really happy if that happens!

      1. I’m a bit confused – do you log in with one name and then post comments under a different name?

        1. Guilherme (@the_philosopher)
          31st March 2011, 3:05

Yes, I changed the “Display name as” option at the edit profile page :) It’s not any problem to use my login name on the championship though.

By the way, thanks for this championship Keith!

I’m more amazed with the whopping 1200 people that joined the first race.

      1. Yeah it’s great to have so many players!

      2. There should some sort of a 107% to make the number considerably lower.
I’ve had trouble lapping many of them :)))

        1. Oh, and Keith – I’m within 1 point behind the guy before me in the standings. Could I get a sort of DRS assistance and get 2 points for free to overtake him?
That’d make this game more similar to the “real deal”.

          1. Pah, I say, pah!

            Nice try, though.

    24. i scored 13 pts…..nt bad for starters :)

    25. @keith do we have pts for any1 whose pole time prediction is very close to actual time ????

      1. No, see the rules.

      2. I thought this was the case, as I was number 21, and I only have Vettel right, Ham nr 3, Alonso nr 2, and the other 2 drivers I predicted in top 5 didn’t make it. But my pole time guess was perhaps close with 1:23.895.
And even though I’m a rookie to this contest I have guessed that You should make Your best GUESS, not what You hope for would happen!

        1. I was wrong – I forgot that I guessed Webber to end nr 5, and he did – lucky me. So I had 3 out of the top 5 and 2 of them in the right position.

    26. Ah, rats missed out on the mug for my desk. :(

    27. I’m joint 363rd.. I’m gonna take that as being 7th though, with 6 groups ahead of me.. Not bad..

Also, I see there’s a drop down menu for all the tracks, does that mean I can make all my predictions now and just update them before each race?

That way if I miss a gran prix (for whatever unlikely reason) I’ll still pick up a few pints..

It may not work like that.. ??

      1. dyslexicbunny
        30th March 2011, 15:09

If getting a few pints for missing a race is your form of a punishment, I’d always miss a race. :-D

    28. Last year I missed out on the Top 100 and at the off I’m joint 115th, so not bad.

    29. Note to self : STOP a f..ing fanboy when playing the game!

    30. I have to avoid over rating the drivers and teams that I support. My score was miserable.

    31. Is there a special reason for not giving points for say the 5 or 10 closest pole times?

    32. wooooo :) happy with jointh 17th :) 19 points awww yeah good start to the year. Hopefully since im starting this predictions from the START of the season and not 6 races in ill finish less than 40 points from the guy in 1st…
