Six players each scored a massive 48 points in the Brazilian round of the F1 Fanatic Predictions Championship.

That has closed up the top of the championship table with just one round left.

The Brazilian round winner was none other than live blog moderator Arun Srini, with Sabatino claiming the prize for second place.

The other four players who scored highest were sblontour, Chrisayyy ,nicko029 and MacademiaNut. As usual the pole position tie-break was invoked and Arun and Sabatino were the ones who came closest.

Not a single person predicted Nico H???lkenberg’s pole position. In fact, he only featured in five people’s predictions, and never any higher than fourth place.

However Sebastian Vettel was the favourite to win with 43% of players correctly naming him as the winner.

Going into the final round jimfaekillie has a reduced championship lead with 189 points. It was a tough round for the championship leader who was out-scored by 119 of his rivals.

There’s a three-way tie for second between Arpi_, chiliching and J-Canada all on 161.

With a maximum score of 50 points available there are 46 players in contention for the 2010 F1 Fanatic Predictions Championship title heading into the last race. Though of course some of you are looking a bit more like Lewis Hamilton than Fernando Alonso…

Predictions for the Abu Dhabi round are already open and even if you’re not in the hunt for the championship there are prizes to be won at each race. Make your predictions here now.

The grand prize winner will receive tickets to all three days of the 2011 British Grand Prix with reserved grandstand seating for the race.

Second place prize: An F1 painting of your choice

The second place finisher in the championship will win an F1 painting by Rob Ijbema.

    1. Damn, I’ve dropped out of the top 300.

I’m now focusing all my efforts on the 2011 championship and I hope to announce an exciting new partnership with a proven prediction method later on this week.

      1. don’t want to know where I ended up. I completely botched it and didn’t get my prediction made in time. Final positions would been predictable, pole not so much.

    2. I am getting worse and worse! I was in the top 100 now I am merely in the top 300!

      1. And I’m equal 1803. But it doesn’t help when you just start predicting races last weekend and the seasons nearly over….

    3. Woah, just observed a link to the championship calculator at the top of page. Handy

    4. no luck for me on 2010 Predictions Championship

looking forward for next year F1 Fanatic Predictions Championship

    5. Hows this for a prediction!

Finishing order is: Vettel, Webber, Hamilton, Button, Alonso.

This puts the top 3 on 256 points! But Vettel takes the WDC by dint of having a better 4th place finish over Alonso!

You would talk about that one for decades to come!

      1. Agreed. Who would have thought that 4th place finish would be the tie-breaker.

    6. Should of gotten 29 pts in this round, as I should of predicted the first four correctly (although I would probably go with Massa for 5th). I changed my mind the last moment and predicted Hamilton-Vettel-Webber-Alonso-Rosberg :O Am now 48 points behind the leader – so I’m not looking like Hamilton, more like Button before Interlagos. Looks very close to impossible to defend my title now :O

    7. 24th. Still in with a chance of being in the top 12 (just)!

    8. I usually don’t predict correctly, so don’t bother about the qualifying time. This time, the qualifying time has come to bite!

    9. So who was it who said to me that the system was designed to reward consistent scoring over the course of a year? I’m joint 200th!

    10. Slipped to 27th! Still better than I thought I would do at the beginning of the season, and I forgot to enter one week.

    11. Finally a good score, I had slipped from being in the 30s to the 90s over the last 4 races. Back to 68, but mathematically out of contention now.

Aim to finish 2010 on a high. The number of predictions Massa has ruined for me this year is too many.

for 2011 season – my winter testing has already begun. I am making regular trips to the sea to catch hold of an octopus ;-)

    12. If only I’d participated in 12 of the other rounds…

      1. Ah well, there’s always next year.

    13. Up to 144th, might even make the top 100 in abby dabby if I’m lucky!

    14. Oh by the way Keith, you made a mistake in the post. The guys in joint second are on 171 points, not 161.

    15. From place 256 to place 68 not bad, maybe i can finish inside the top 50. I can score max 180 so i am out for the vip tickets. Congrats to the winner )
